They shoulda had two verisons of the 2000s.. cause after the wave of the internet, The Age of the Kardashians, and social media/programming its been about, wigs and weaves, tons of MAC makeup , fake lashes and nails, and barely-even-there clothing.
Words cannot express how terrible and basic this video was- fire your researcher and suggest to them that they study a lot more about black American fashion during the 20th and 21st century. They technically could’ve even went further back. This was absolutely horrendous.
You're kidding right? This is simply cultural appropriation - taking the leading edge from white people fashion and sticking a black person in it. ...oh wait! There was the 70s PIMP movement that was quite edgy. LOL
Im so proud of my culture Im so thankful for the people that marched for me and my family and thank you Grandpa for being an activist RIP. This was so inspiring, I cried its also sad to see that nothing hasn't changed much a change has to come LORD
People just need to understand that they need to stop getting butt hurt by every little thing out there, everyone rightfully has their own opinion and sometimes it can't be changed. We need to accept that not all things can be altered. Next, Black lives matter, from my understanding, is apart of all the other black rights movements that fight for the injustice and right to equality. It's not meant to put blacks on a pedestal over other races, but the thing is that a lot of america was built off of creations made by african americans. African Americans essentially built America. Just about everything u see in the media was made by a black person. I'm not saying everything, but a lot of it is.Things that were greatly admired by whites in America like BBQ, Lindy-hop, Swing dancing (along with other popular dances in history), and plenty of other things were taken from the blacks with no credit given. The BLM movement is the fight for acknowledgement and equality that african americans had/have to go through due to the lack of this in America and even all over the world. Racism is still present today which is why it's still a thriving and relevant movement. Also side note, I don't condone using the N-word. I completely disagree that just because you're black you can use it, not that any other race should use it. I understand that if any person is going to be using the word it's a black person and it's at their own terms, but it has such a negative history behind it I don't see why some ppl in my culture believe that it's "OK" to use at all. Now correct me where I'm wrong.
I'm so proud of African American people. They contribued very well, fought, and made so many achievements for this country. They build USA !!! They inspired the whole world(jazz, hip hop, style). I want to see the same video with Native American. Proud to be black too !!! We are incredible ! People will say that we are the most hated but we are the most copied people.
HEY I NEED HELP As a mixed person I was never really sure how much I am allowed to be apart of the poc community. My *black* father said I have as much right to be in the community as anyone else in the community, but I have been told by other people (mainly online) that I cant associate with the poc and mainly the black community because I am significantly lighter and could pass as white (mainly in winter) So if there is anyone that could help give me some guidance, it would really help
The Aurora is an incredible light show caused by collisions between electrically charged particles released from the sun that enter the earth’s atmosphere and collide with gases such as oxygen and nitrogen. The lights are seen around the magnetic poles of the northern and southern hemispheres.
Auroras that occur in the northern hemisphere are called ‘Aurora Borealis’ or ‘northern lights’ and auroras that occur in the southern hempishere are called ‘Aurora Australis’ or ‘southern lights’.
Both Aurora’s can be seen in the northern or southern hemisphere, in an irregularly shaped oval centred over each magnetic pole. Scientists have learned that in most instances northern and southern auroras are mirror-like images that occur at the same time, with similar shapes and colours. Auroral displays can appear in many vivid colours, although green is the most common. Colours such as red, yellow, green, blue and violet are also seen occasionally. The auroras can appear in many forms, from small patches of light that appear out of nowhere to streamers, arcs, rippling curtains or shooting rays that light up the sky with an incredible glow.
